Regular Dental Checkups in Irving

Regular dental checkups are crucial for anyone who wants to achieve and maintain sound dental health. During a regular dental checkup, our experts will thoroughly examine the patient’s teeth for any problems or issues that may have developed since their previous visit. We will also take the time to thoroughly clean the teeth and remove any harmful buildups and accumulations of bacteria and plaque. This allows our patients to maintain positive oral health and experience a feeling of oral freshness and cleanliness for many months to follow. Our experts recommend that every patient visits our practice at least once every six months for this purpose.

All of our regular checkups include a full examination, a professional cleaning, cavity detection using DiagnoDent technology, and when necessary, digital X-rays.

Full Examination: A thorough dental examination allows us to locate any problems or issues that may have developed since your last checkup. In the event that we find anything noteworthy, our experts can make appropriate recommendations. Some problems that may be uncovered during a full examination include cavities, tooth decay, tooth shifts and periodontitis (gum disease).

Professional Cleaning: While brushing and flossing at home is essential, a professional in-office cleaning will provide a more thorough cleanse. The professional cleaning process is conducted by using advanced dental tools to remove unwanted buildups from the teeth. We then cleanse and polish the teeth to eliminate any remaining bacteria and to remove surface stains. This careful and detailed process will provide the patient with a long-lasting sensation of oral freshness.

Digital X-Rays: By using digital X-rays, our experts can obtain a detailed look at the hidden areas of a patient’s mouth. This is often the only way to detect certain oral health issues. We can also share the digital images with the patient if anything important is found. This can make it easier for a patient to understand what type of condition they are experiencing. In some cases, we may also use a 3D Cone Beam CT to obtain an even more detailed look at a patient’s oral structures. Some issues that may be found using digital X-rays include tooth decay, gum disease, jawbone deterioration, cysts and oral cancer.

DiagnoDent Technology: DiagnoDent is the industry-leading method for detecting the occurrence of cavities and tooth decay. This advanced technology uses specialized lasers to scan the teeth and determine if any interior decay or deterioration is present. This technology can also be used to check for any signs or symptoms of gum disease. With these oral health conditions being quite common, we take the time to use DiagnoDent equipment during every complete checkup.

Regular dental checkups are critical for anyone who wants to maintain good oral health. New and existing patients are always welcome. Please call us at (214) 960-2291 to schedule an appointment.

Our Happy Patients

"I recommend this office to anyone who wants a dentist that is HONEST, professional, and experienced. I saw another dentist previously, who was quoting me much more work than necessary, and over 10x the price out of pocket after insurance. I had a difficult root canal that required more time than expected. The office got me in quickly, and has extended hours."

Marie B.

"First time here. Staff was very friendly, informative and really works with you. They're down to earth people that care about helping you. They're prices are affordable. I came here after going to a very ritzy dentist that only saw me as a payment and not a customer. Here they really were interested in helping me with my dental concerns. And I really appreciated that. I'm a customer for life and my family is too. Everyone deserves a dentist like this."

Vick A.

"I love Dr Davis and his staff! Worked me in on Saturday to evaluate my issue and put me on the path to healing. It takes me over an hour to get to his office but to be honest I would drive any distance to have him for my dentist! Always leave his office with a smile! 😀"
