Teeth Whitening Treatment in Irving

When you think of beautiful teeth, color is often one of the first factors that come to mind. White, shiny teeth are synonymous with positive oral health. Unfortunately, many people experience tooth discoloration as they age. By brightening your teeth, you can appear younger and healthier. As a result, it’s not much of a surprise that millions of people seek out ways to whiten their teeth.

Teeth discoloration is caused by both internal and external staining. The only way to address both is with in-office whitening treatments performed by professional dental care experts. Best of all, these treatments provide instantaneous results, allowing patients to immediately show-off their brand-new, brightened smiles.

At DFW Dental Service, we use the Zoom! Teeth Whitening System. Zoom! Whitening refers to a specialized process that brightens teeth from the enamel, all the way into the dentin. The Zoom! treatment process is quite simple. We start by covering the patient’s lips and gums so that only their teeth are exposed. The specialized Zoom! gel is then applied directly to the exposed teeth. This is a highly advanced whitening gel that contains a high concentration of hydrogen peroxide. As this gel breaks down, it will release oxygen ions that enter the inside of the teeth. These oxygen ions represent the key to breaking down the interior and exterior staining that causes teeth to appear discolored. In order to produce oxygen ions as quickly and as efficiently as possible, the gel is exposed to a special light from an advanced chairside lamp. As the gel rapidly produces the ions, they will very quickly enter the teeth to bleach them deep into the interior dentin.

In most cases, the entire Zoom! Whitening Treatment can be completed in roughly 45 minutes. The overall procedure is very comfortable, and the desired results are usually achieved after just one treatment. After treatment, the patient can work to maintain their brightened teeth by practicing good oral hygiene habits. This includes brushing twice per day, flossing once per day and receiving complete dental checkups twice per year. Patients should also refrain from using tobacco products and from drinking dark colored beverages like coffee, wine and juice. These substances are known for causing teeth discolorations, and they can reverse the effects of whitening treatments.

If you want to brighten your teeth and improve your smile, then Zoom! Treatment may be ideal for you. By visiting DFW Dental Service, our experts can determine if you can benefit from professional teeth whitening treatments. Please call us at (214) 960-2291 to schedule an appointment.

Our Happy Patients

"I recommend this office to anyone who wants a dentist that is HONEST, professional, and experienced. I saw another dentist previously, who was quoting me much more work than necessary, and over 10x the price out of pocket after insurance. I had a difficult root canal that required more time than expected. The office got me in quickly, and has extended hours."

Marie B.

"First time here. Staff was very friendly, informative and really works with you. They're down to earth people that care about helping you. They're prices are affordable. I came here after going to a very ritzy dentist that only saw me as a payment and not a customer. Here they really were interested in helping me with my dental concerns. And I really appreciated that. I'm a customer for life and my family is too. Everyone deserves a dentist like this."

Vick A.

"I love Dr Davis and his staff! Worked me in on Saturday to evaluate my issue and put me on the path to healing. It takes me over an hour to get to his office but to be honest I would drive any distance to have him for my dentist! Always leave his office with a smile! 😀"
